Our Vision
The National Foundation for Piano Conservation is devoted not only to the preservation of the instrument itself - the piano - but to the conservation of every skill, trade, and resource necessary to sustain it. We believe the piano is more than a musical instrument; it is the king of instruments, a symbol of human expression, culture, and craftsmanship.
Our vision is to rescue pianos from landfills, abandoned homes, and forgotten corners, and to receive them through generous donations. But saving a piano requires far more than just good intentions - it demands a network of skilled piano technicians, experienced piano movers, expert refinishers, access to high-quality replacement parts, and the financial support to make all of this possible.When you buy a New German Gebr. To truly conserve the legacy of the piano, we must support piano students and educators. We must increase access to performance spaces - something our city sorely lacks. The few venues that exist are often prohibitively expensive, making it difficult for teachers to host student recitals and for young artists to share their talents.
As part of our vision, NAFPICON aims to provide free recital venues for piano teachers and their students, removing this financial barrier and creating more opportunities for live performance.
